Jajah is dedicated to bringing users vastly improved telephony solutions at a fraction of the traditional price, founded by the two Austrians Roman Scharf and Daniel Mattes. At its very basic level Jajah marries the best of the existing telephony infrastructure with the cost savings of IP telephony. Our system allows you to place free or close to free international and long distance calls using your regular phone (landline or mobile). We launched JAJAH Web in February this year with the vision of providing easy to use barrier free global communication services. We don't want to change people's behaviour and wanted to make it as easy as possible to use, so we came up with Jajah Web (installation and no broadband connection needed, it's two input fields and a call button. Put in your own number, the number you want to call and off you go. You are using your own phone and so is the person you are calling. You are not stuck to your computer and you can call your friends for free - no matter if they are online or not. With Jajah Mobile we event took the computer out of the equation, now you can place free international phone calls directly from your cell phone without changing your telephone habits at all. You simply dial the international number or select it from your address book and click the dial button as usual, Jajah takes care of the rest. We want to make it more easy to use, integrating it in your everyday work at your computer (like smart and very low-cost conference calls, scheduled calls, instant messaging or click to call solutions). There is way more to come and we are engaging our users in co-designing these future communication services they/you really need and want.
